Budding Artist of Udgam
Our Student, Viva Shah, Grade III(Afternoon Shift), has Won Star Artist Award by Picasso International Art Competition in her age group.
In the Internationally Recognized Drawing Competition, more than 2000 Participants from 48 Countries had submitted their ART Work. Viva is the only winner contestant from Gujarat, India.
Well done Viva, many congratulations and good luck to you.
Asia Book of Records!!!
Our Student, Anshi Devarshi Desai, studying in 4-D, has set the record in the Asia Book of Records and has received the title of “Grand Master” for making Several Ambidextrous drawings. Only at the young age of nine, she is quick and can clearly draw two identical images with both hands.
Congratulations Anshi for the achievement. We wish you good luck.
Udgamite Secures Winner Title Twice
Dev Vipul Patel, studying in Class VI-H, won U-12 Championship Series conducted by All India Tennis Association(AITA) held at AISA Academy, Ahmedabad.
He won two lawn tennis AITA CS3 U-12 tournament championships this month – of which one was on December 10, 2020, where he had a straight win with a score of 9-6 in the Quarter Finals, 9-4 in Semi-Finals and 6-1 in the Finals.
The other championship was on December 21, 2020. He scored 8/0 in the first round, 8/0 in the second round, 9/0 in the quarter-final, 9/2 in the semifinal and 6/0,6/0 in final.

Udgamites booked in Indian Book of Records!
Heeva Axay Shah and Palash Axay Shah, studying in Class I-B and VI-A respectively at Udgam School for Children, are honoured with #IndianHumanitarianAward for their continued dedication and humanitarian work with their drawings to create awareness on this COVID-19 Pandemic.
Both students are also participants of the maximum number of drawing competitions on COVID-19.
Their work was witnessed and adjudicated by Dr GVNRSSS Vara Prasad, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, at Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Udgam School for Children proudly acknowledges and appreciates such talents of students.
National Inter-School Debate Competition 2020
We take immense pride to announce that the students of our school participated in the National Inter-School Debate Competition 2020 and stood to be the Runners-up.
Of the 40 schools that participated across the country, our students won at several levels to reach the finals.
The competition, organized by Podar International School, was judged by Mr Shishir Joshi, CEO and Co-founder at Project Mumbai, Chairman – Muskaan, sharing smiles and Anil Swarup, Founder Chairman – Nexus of Good, Former Secretary (Govt. of India) – School Education and Coal.
The topic of the debate was ‘Girl empowerment has turned into boy hate’. The debaters of each panel gave a tough competition and made the audience believe both views to be correct. We lost merely by only two points in the finale.

A Proud Moment!
Aarya Shalin Almal, our student from VIII-H, participated in Young Chefs India Junior by IIHM. She cleared the preliminary rounds and entered the all-school Ahmedabad level along with more than 500 participants. Further, she got selected for the interschool and secured the 1st position in Ahmedabad.
Star Chef RanveerBrar announced the final results. The participants were judged upon the presentation, plating, patience in the kitchen, management as well as efforts, as it was a virtual cooking contest.
Similar recipe using the same ingredients, as mentioned by IIHM, had to be prepared by all participants in the finale. Aarya prepared the dishes Shaam-Savera and Mango Rose Jugalbandi.
IIHM will honour her with a cash prize for her achievement.

A gratified moment!
Mehaan Divya Shah from II-F took part in ISRO Cyberspace Competitions -ICC 2020 and stood among the merit list of Top 500 students at the National level, of the two lakh participants pan India.
The students of distinct classes had to work on different projects, that is Drawing(Classes I-III), Model Making/ Science Craft(Classes IV-VIII), Essay Writing(Classes IX-X), and Essay Writing/ Quiz(Classes XI-XII). The topic given to the students was Viewing the Earth from Space.
Mehaan made an artistic drawing and made it to the top list.

Dr. G Vijayalakshmi receives Award for Excellence in Education
A versatile educator is the one who succeeds in teaching students despite the contests of life. Dr. G Vijayalakshmi, Vice-Principal of Middle Section, associated with us for the past twenty years, is one of those educators who are determined, thought-provoking, and passionate about teaching her students.
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the International Institute of Hotel Management, IIHM, in association with The International Hospitality Council (IHC) London, honored those with the Certificate of Excellence in Education, who have accepted challenges and have continued to teach undaunted during the crisis. IIHM celebrates Teachers Day every year by giving away Awards to teachers in over 40 cities. This year the celebration was done over Zoom Video Conference conferring the award Online.
We congratulate Dr. G Vijayalakshmi, who was one of the educators to receive honors at the ceremony. Her selfless efforts for the benefit of Education is truly honorable.
