Abhishek Wadhawan

I am Abhishek Wadhawan, a law graduate from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar holding a degree in B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons. in Business, Corporate and Financial Laws). I have spent almost 14 years as a student at Udgam School from junior kindergarten to Grade XII.

I am thrilled to share a significant milestone in my academic journey. At the 14th GNLU Convocation (2024), I was honored to receive eight gold medals in the presence of Honourable Justice Bela Trivedi, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Mr. R. Venkataramani, the Attorney General for India.

I was awarded the gold medals for holding first rank among all the students of the graduating batch of 2018-23 GNLU and for my performance in various law subjects like Corporate and Commercial Law, Human Rights, Media Law, Environmental Law among others.

My journey at Udgam, spanning from junior kindergarten to the 12th grade, was marked by invaluable experiences and unwavering support. One of the most challenging moments I faced during my time at Udgam was the loss of my father. It was a period of profound grief and uncertainty, and I found solace in the incredible support system provided by my teachers and peers. Indeed, I had lost the willingness to give my 10th grade examinations at that point in time. However, it was the emotional and mental support of my teachers at Udgam which gave me the strength to appear in the forthcoming examination with my full rigour and dedication.

The compassionate guidance and unwavering support of my teachers were instrumental in helping me navigate through the darkest days of my life. Their empathy, understanding, and encouragement provided me with the strength and resilience to overcome adversity. Whether it was offering a listening ear, providing academic support, or simply being there when I needed them the most, my teachers at Udgam went above and beyond to ensure that I felt supported and capable of achieving my goals.

The values of compassion, resilience, and perseverance instilled in me during my time at Udgam continue to guide me on my journey of academic, professional and personal growth.

As I stand today, basking in the glow of this remarkable achievement, I am deeply grateful for the role that Udgam has played in shaping the person I have become.

To my loving parents, supportive sister and family, very dear teachers and the non teaching staff at Udgam, batchmates of Udgam and fellow Udgam alumni, I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone for being a part of this incredible journey. We celebrate not only my achievement but also the enduring spirit of my alma mater.
